Malte is the first piece of furniture I designed and built as a furniture design student. I was intrigued by the hard and long fibered cell structure of ash wood which allowed me to work with thinner dimensions.
Malte is made from solid ash wood. The body consists of six rectangular frames and four wood turned legs. Malte is named after my late Swedish grandfather who similar to the properties of ash wood had an extermely hard head.
